Hand Therapy

The human hand enables us to interact with the world around us - maintaining a functional pair of hands, or in some cases a single hand, is what defines our independence. Hand injuries can occur for a number of reasons, but the goal in treating these injuries irrespective of the cause is – restoration of function.

At Sandhurst Plastic Surgery, we are fortunate to have an in-house hand therapy service, Sandhurst Hand Therapy. The reality is, the hand therapist is the key to achieving the best outcome following a hand injury. Right from the start, all our patients are introduced, and in most cases, assessed by the hand therapist; the care will be coordinated by the hand therapist from initial presentation right up until completion of rehabilitation and return to maximal functional capacity.

Any surgical or invasive procedure carries risks. Before proceeding, you should seek a second opinion from an appropriately qualified health practitioner.
