Breast Augmentation & Breast Implants
Our philosophy at Sandhurst Plastic Surgery is: when it comes to plastic surgery, one size does not fit all. This is especially the case with breast augmentation. There are a number of decisions that need to be made before proceeding with surgery, and in consultation with the plastic surgeon, you will be carefully guided through this process so that you are clear about what you want to achieve from your surgery.
At Sandhurst Plastic Surgery we only use breast implants that have a known track record and that have been subjected to rigorous scientific and technical testing and are manufactured to the high standard expected by surgeons and patients alike. Furthermore, all patients will have their implants registered on the ASPS Breast Device Registry, thus providing a method of tracking any safety issues that may arise in the future. By participating in this registry, the plastic surgeons at Sandhurst Plastic Surgery aim to maintain an ongoing contribution to the body of knowledge of breast implant devices, in turn enhancing patient safety and scientific progress.
At your initial consultation, your plastic surgeon and nurse will have an open discussion with you about what you would like your breasts to look like after the procedure. We will discuss things like how large you would like your breasts to be, what shape you would like and how much projection you would like. Following this discussion you will be guided through the operation that will best achieve your goals.
The team at Sandhurst Plastic Surgery want to help you achieve your goals in the safest possible way and as such, will take the time to make sure you fully understand all aspects of breast augmentation surgery.
Any surgical or invasive procedure carries risks. Before proceeding, you should seek a second opinion from an appropriately qualified health practitioner.
